Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to advance the study of state administration and governmental systems, the bulletin welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic literature reviews, comparative institutional studies, and applied governmental evaluations within the following thematic areas:

State Administration & Institutional Architecture: Machinery of government, state capacity and institutional resilience, reorganization of state ministries and agencies, administrative law interfaces, and public sector accountability mechanisms.

Governmental Studies & Political-Administrative Dynamics: Executive-legislative relations, politics-administration dichotomy, governmental leadership and decision-making, electoral administration, and democratic accountability in state governance.

Regional Autonomy, Decentralization & Local Government: Central-local government relations, asymmetric decentralization, provincial and municipal governance, village government administration (pemerintahan desa), and borderland/archipelagic territory management.

Civil Service Governance, Bureaucratic Reform & Ethics: State civil apparatus (Aparatur Sipil Negara) management, meritocracy and politicization of the bureaucracy, public integrity and anti-corruption enforcement, administrative justice, and public service ethics.

State Modernization, Digital Government & Policy Execution: Implementation of national strategic policies, digital state transformation (Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik), open government initiatives, crisis governance, and collaborative state-society relations.

Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of state administration and governmental research, BANP is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on institutional reforms in post-election transitions, digital integration of state bureaucracies, or decentralization challenges in emerging democracies may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.
